this is an image of sidewalk tiles in barcelona. i lived in barcelona for many years and have always enjoyed looking at the patterns on the sidewalk. the most obvious math going on here are the rotations of the individual tiles, although there are also translations, and perhaps the groups of 3 rotates tiles also rotate to other sets of three.
this is a picture of a table that his been decorated with bottle caps. i chose it because i like beer, although not miller light. the caps rotate around the center, and together they make an image that reflects across.
